The Supporters' Trust were as shocked as everyone else associated with the Imps to hear at a press conference today the news that Peter Jackson has a big battle to fight against cancer.
The Trust would like to publicly express their sincere best wishes to Peter and his family at this difficult time. Since arriving at Sincil Bank last October Peter Jackson has had a huge impression on everyone. His obvious love of the game and his enthusiasm for the Imps and his adopted City of Lincoln have been a delight to see.
Imps Gaffer - Peter Jackson
David Beck, the elected Supporter Director of the Trust commented "Peter Jackson will be starting his treatment with the full support and backing of the club and I am sure of all supporters."
He continued "Peter has in a fairly short period turned this fantastic club around on the pitch and I am sure no one will be happier to see his return to work in due course than Peter himself."
Trust Chairman John Roddam had these words to say "I was extremely saddened to hear that Peter Jackson is unwell and needs treatment. This, to me, puts everything into perspective. We wish him a full recovery to good health and knowing Peter I am quite sure he will fight like hell to beat the disease."
He continued "I am also quite sure that everyone, players, staff and all the supporters will be "rooting" for him and we look forward to seeing him back at Sincil Bank when he has fully recovered. The Supporters Trust will continue to support the club during this difficult time."
Affectionately nicknamed by supporters "Lord of the Imps" I am sure all supporters wish Peter Jackson a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at the Bank as soon as he is recovered from his treatment.
