TRUST MEMBER TO THE RESCUE

A well known Trust member certainly saved the blushes of the back room team at the recent Shrewsbury game. For some unknown reason, Mark Stallard’s shirt had been accidentally left in Lincoln. Panic, panic!

City kitman Michael Cain then takes up the story "Mark was okay about things but I didn't want to let him down so I decided to see if any of our fans could come to my rescue," revealed Cain."

Mark Stallard who needed a shirt

A quick enquiry on the Red Imps coach and step forward Duncan Bayes, complete with a replica Stalls shirt - fortunately the size was about the same. Not only did Duncan leave Shrewsbury with a smile on his face after the 3 points, but he also received his shirt back, complete with Stalls signature, and the Club presented him with another shirt.. Then, to really put the icing on the cake, Duncan was the Star on Sky Sports News telling his story to the nation! Well done, Duncan.

It was reported later that Mark Stallard had said that the shirt had saved the day but that it was a little on the tight side!
