The Supporters Trust plan handing over a large flag come shirt to the supporters this Saturday. Modelled on a traditional home shirt the back is emblazoned with "LORD OF THE IMPS"
As this story has already been made public by a Vitals website reporter known as Ivan Impgrass the Trust can reveal more details.
The idea first came about when supporter Matt Harris approached the Trust to support his idea of getting a large flag for supporters to take to away matches. The idea then developed with the flag now taking on the design of a shirt.
The shirt for supporters
Local sportswear company ImpSport where approached to see if the idea was feasible and soon draft designs were being discussed on Imps message boards.
The Trust then put out a request for a couple of sponsors with the help of the club and very quickly a number came forward. It was decided to keep the number of sponsors down and as Mark Broughton of Sleafordian Coaches had come in first he was given first option.
The shirt design then went through a few changes and ImpSport were asked to produce the shirt. All going well the shirt will be handed over to supporters on Saturday outside the Trust Suite at 12.30pm. Peter Jackson has kindly agreed to attend the handover and will hopefully sign the shirt.
