Community Development Worker – Vale Park Community Initiative
Hours: Full time (37.5 hrs)
Salary: £21,412
Based in Stoke on Trent
The Federation of Stadium Communities (FSC) is a national charity established in 1991 to support those people who live and work in the neighbourhood of sports stadia. We seek ways of improving the quality of life in stadium neighbourhoods, both by the resolution of stadium related issues and problems and by exploring ways in which sports clubs and community groups can work together to bring mutual benefits to the local area.
The `Vale Park Community Initiative' is a successful project that has developed a number of community initiatives focussing on Port Vale FC, using the power of sport to tackle inequalities in health, education and employment for all population groups living in the neighbourhood of the stadium.
We are looking for an individual who can support the existing work. You will have considerable experience of engaging with diverse community groups and working with statutory agencies, experience of delivering health promoting activities, and a highly effective communicator skilled in developing partnerships.
