John Roddam - Chairman
Regrettably I can’t claim to be yellow-belly or have supported Lincoln all my life! I grew up in South London watching Charlton as a boy and later on having a season ticket for West Ham due to my Father’s influence who grew up in that area. I have fond memories of Brooking, Bonds and co playing good football win or lose.
My wife and I moved to Bassingham in 2001 to be nearer our children and grandchildren and I started going to Sincil Bank. I saw an advert in the programme for the Trust and phoned the number shown. It turned out to be the home of Rick Keracher living in the same village and as the saying goes the rest is history.
Having been retired for some time I offered to help the Trust and I was soon made Chief Executive. In the last couple of years I was elected Chairman.
I can’t talk about good players of the past or indeed managers but there is no doubt in my mind that the five years of Keith Alexander were very important to the club in both success on the pitch and the resultant additional income that goes with a winning side which saw the club rise from administration to become financially stable.
The biggest high and low I have to say came on the same day when we first visited Cardiff. A great achievement for a team of mainly unknowns but regrettably the wrong result.
I strongly believe in the Trust movement, transparency and sustainability and fans having a voice at the top table.
